Humpback Whale

Whale Shark
Whale sharks only eat microorganisms called planktons; this is why they don’t represent any kind of danger to humans. Whale shark season in Cabo goes from the end of October to the end of April.
Gray Whale

When is the best season so go whale watching in Los Cabos?
The Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico (SEMARNAT), has established whale watching season in Los Cabos from December to April. During these months is when several whale species migrate from northern cold waters around Alaska, to Los Cabos warm waters.
The best season to whale watch in Cabo is from January to March, months in which you will have a greater opportunity to get a closer view of these beautiful mammals. From the end of January through February and the beginning of March is when the females start giving birth, and you will be able to presence baby whales known as calves.
The most common tours in Los Cabos include immerging in the Pacific Ocean or the Sea of Cortes to take advantage of the bests spots to find whales. During winter there have been found around 32 species of whales and dolphins in these waters, making Cabo the perfect place to experience whale watching.
